Best Games of the 6th Prague International Chess Festival 2024

Saving the best for the last is a popular saying. The sixth edition of Prague International Chess Festival 2024 awarded best game prize for each round. There was also a prize most spectacular game of the tournament named Lubomír Kaválek Prize. Nodirbek Abdusattorov (UZB) won it for his eighth round game against Parham Maghsoodloo (IRI). In this article, we share with you the games of each round which won the prize along with game videos with either commentary or analysis with IM Sagar Shah and Amruta Mokal with the player. The seventh edition of Prague International Chess Festival will take place from 25th February to 7th March 2025 as mentioned on the tournament's homepage.

Game of the Round 8 and Most Spectacular Game of the Tournament winner - GM Nodirbek Abdusattorov (UZB)

The Lubomír Kaválek Prize for the best game of the tournament was awarded for the first time at Prague International Chess Festival 2021. The award is named after the late Czech-American Grandmaster Lubomír Kaválek (1943-2021), who has been awarded many times during his chess career for playing the best, most beautiful or, if you like, the most interesting games.
The eighth round game between Nodirbek Abdusattorov (UZB) and Parham Maghsoodloo (IRI) won the Most Spectacular Game of the Tournament prize.
