Jeet Jain dominates 1st Pinnacle Blitz Rating Open 2025
FM Jeet Jain scored an unbeaten 8.5/9 to win 1st Pinnacle Blitz Rating Open 2025. He finished a half point ahead of the rest. Pushkar Dere and Mihir Shah scored 8/9 each. They secured second and third place respectively. Jeet defeated both runners-up, Pushar and Mihir in Round 6 and 8 respectively. The total prize fund was ₹250000. The top three prizes were ₹40000, ₹30000 and ₹20000 along with a trophy each. The one-day Blitz rating tournament was organized by IA Mohit Ladhe at Korum Mall in Thane, Maharashtra on 13th April 2025. This is Jeet's first rating tournament triumph of the year. Jeet's first tournament triumph of the year
FM Jeet Jain scorched the field by winning eight games in-a-row. He had a full point lead 8/8, heading into the final round. Four players - Mihir Shah, Pushkar Dere, FM Gaurang Bagwe and Janhavi Soneji were trailing by a full point at 7/8 each. Jeet needed a draw to become a clear champion and that's what he did against Janhavi. Gaurang lost to Pushkar and the latter secured a second place finish. Vansh Aggarwal suffered defeat against Mihir who finished third. Janhavi claimed an impressive fifth place finish scoring 7.5/9. She is the sole female among the top 20 finishers.
The tournament was inaugurated by the Chief Guest - Vikas Laddha, Korum Mall Head, Milind Nagare, President, Thane District Chess Association, Dharmu Vanjani, Former President of Rotary Club North. They also distributed the prizes at the closing cermony.

A total of 273 players including two IMs took part from various parts of India and two from Norway. The one-day nine round Blitz rating tournament was organized by IA Mohit Ladhe at Korum Mall in Thane, Maharashtra on 13th April 2025. The time control of the event was 3 minutes + 2 seconds increment per move.
