by Shahid Ahmed - 01/07/2023

Bogdan-Daniel Deac (ROU) and Ray Robson (USA) finished with the same score 5.5/9 at 5th Prague International Chess Festival 2023 Masters. They had to play tie-breaks to determine the winner. Robson won the first blitz tie-break game and drew the second, although he was winning that too. The defending champion, Pentala Harikrishna drew his final round game against Haik Martirosyan (ARM). He scored an unbeaten sole 5/9 to finish third. FM Sharan Rao defeated IM Yahli Sokolovsky (ISR) in the final round of Karel Janeček Open to secure his final IM-norm.
