Live games: No Castling World Masters 2022
The five-time world champion, Vishy Anand has returned to Dortmund. He started his defense of NC World Masters champion title which he won last year by defeating the Vladimir Kramnik. The 14th world champion had to pull out due to some health issues. Anand joined the event from the second round where he drew with the English legend, Michael Adams. The other two participants are European Team Champion for Germany in 2011, GM FST Daniel Fridman. The fourth participant is the youngest in the event, Germany no.4 and Runner-up in Deutschland Grand Prix 2021, GM Dmitrij Kollars. Vishy Anand is still in the sole lead 2.5/4.
