Fujairah is set to become the new hub of chess, as it gears up to host the Fujairah Global Chess Championship at the state-of-the-art Fujairah Chess and Culture Club, home to the world’s largest chess queen. The tournament boasts a total prize fund of $125,000 and promises to be one of the strongest open chess tournaments ever organized. The event will be held across three categories. The Superstars Tournament will feature players with a rating of 2600 and above, making it an exceptionally strong open tournament. Additionally, there will be a Masters Tournament and a Youth Open to cater to players across different skill levels. Fujairah Set to Host One of the Strongest Open Chess Tournaments

The tournament will be held across three categories, each offering unique opportunities for players of different skill levels:
The highlight of the event is the Superstars Tournament, featuring an exclusive lineup of just 50 players with ratings above 2600. Designed with the FIDE Circuit in mind, this category is expected to attract some of the biggest names in the chess world. The second category, the Masters Tournament, is open to players with ratings between 2200 and 2599, with a maximum of 150 participants. This category provides a competitive platform for strong, aspiring players to test their mettle. The third category, the Youth Open Tournament, welcomes players of any age with ratings below 2200. With a cap of 400 participants, this section aims to encourage emerging talent and provide opportunities for players to experience international competition.
All tournaments will consist of a total of 9 rounds, ensuring intense and high-quality competition. The event will take place at the prestigious Fujairah Chess and Culture Club, a venue that perfectly blends modern amenities with a passion for the game.
